I am now past the halfway point… 4 months or so to go and I’m done! :) Or should I say “he’s done.” (today im an actually 20.5 weeks along, monday ill be 21 weeks)
This week im def. feeling larger… things are poking out more and Im having a few more pregnancy aches and pains that come with pregnancy as you grow.
Still in a sweat shirt or larger tunic style top… some still can’t really tell I am pregnant.
I am still in non maternity pants… I just continue to rely on the BELLA BAND… but honestly after today I am ready for maternity jeans… my jeans are just to tight!! and not just on my butt and hips… but my legs even. I noticed the other day my ankles looked a little swollen… so my legs my be slightly larger as well.
I’ve gained between 6-8 lbs… last time I went I was at the 7 lb mark, but it seems to fluctuate some.
I still am sick sadly…
I cant get over this sinus infection stuff… I am trying not to complain.. but it is so controlling… and you feel so bad that its hard not to. My head feels like its constantly under pressure… I cannot breathe through my nose on most occasions. The Neti Pot helps some…. saline spray does nothing for me… and although benedryl is SAFE for pregnant women… I feel bad using it to much because it makes me SO sleepy… I only take a half dosage and I feel totally drugged and unable to function… so its something I can’t really take on a regular basis… except maybe at night when Travis is home.
I do hope after I can shake this sinus stuff off… that I will be able to enjoy the pregnancy more… cause honestly its been hard to this time around. I am so excited any time I feel him kick…. Travis even comments on how he thinks my belly is so cute on me :) but when you are physically sick all the time… and your having to adjust to your hips and back hurting some, etc… it makes the whole “pregnancy experience” a tad bitter sweet sometimes.
But I am thankful I am not throwing up…
I am thankful the baby is healthy (according to the ultrasounds)
I am thankful my face is sort of starting to clear up… (I still have a few stubborn spots)
I am thankful my hair is growing faster HAHA
I am thankful I can still fit in most of my normal clothes… which saves us money :) cause all my maternity stuff from the previous two pregnancies are HUGE on me or out of style/season.
So lots to be thankful…
But please pray I can get better… :( I know the Lord can heal us… and I am just praying for healing right now…
On a different note…
My parents are still in town. This was taken today:
Now its time to go nap!!
*Oh and for fun.. my friend Tara is due with her 2nd set of twins the same month I am due with our baby… I
have really enjoyed being able to see the differences in a single pregnancy vs. twins. She is just adorable and
those babies are going to get some great parents and sweet siblings who love them. Heres her BLOG*

*I WAS WAY SMALLER WITH TAITE!*

Thanks for the shout-out on your blog! Yes, it is neat to compare a single pregnancy with a twin pregnancy. You look adorable and I will be praying that your sinus infection clears up soon!

Oh Drea! You are so hard on yourself when it comes to your pregnancy weight! Don’t think about that part of it so much, and just ENJOY the way God created our bodies to carry these little miracles. Sometimes we carry bigger or smaller, or with more or less weight gain – but I think you focus on this part of it too much. Your body has proven to bounce back really quickly, and you look great. Don’t worry about it so much. From that belly will come a most beautiful gift, and before you know it, you’ll be back into all those old jeans… which would just barely fit over one of my legs, post-pregnancy. ;) With love…

Oh I know Heather.. I try nto to be.. and this time I have been much more relaxed abt it.. it all stems from an insecure past with weight issues. I really dont try to worry about it at all…

You look so good! That’s me at like 10 weeks :) Seriously. But anyway, I really hope that cold goes away. We’re dealing with some cold/flu thing here too. Rowan I *think* is finally over it (he slept through the night for the first time in about a week) and Bria and I are just starting. Hopefully it doesn’t last too long!
