A few years back while living in Ohio, our church there produced a church wide cook book!
I still have it all these years later – and earlier this week broke it out.
I wanted to make some chocolate chip cookies & just knew there had to be a good recipe for that in this book.
The recipe I used came from one of my husbands former students Stephanie.
Ok ok, ill share her picture, just because shes so pretty & dear to our hearts. :)
Shes getting married in a few months too!
Her mom always had the best desserts – so im assuming she got the gift from her :-)
We love these cookies and it is a must make!
Since Valentines is tomorrow – this would make the perfect dessert treat for anyone with a husband who has a sweet tooth.
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. margarine (2 sticks – eek! lol)
1/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding
1 (12oz) pkg. chocolate chips (I used semi sweet)
optional – 1 c. chopped nuts (I dont care for nuts, so we left those out)

Directions:
Cream the butter, both sugars, vanilla, eggs and pudding. Add baking soda and flour gradually. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoons on ungreased cooking sheet. Bake at 375F for 8-10 minutes.

- I used my kitchen aid mixer to mix everything – except the chocolate. I just spooned that in myself.
- It was so easy to do and because they baked so fast, I could finish everything fairly quick.
- Make sure you don’t over cook them tho, if you do – they will get hard! It be better to undercook them :)
ENJOY! :-) & thanks Steph for this great recipe. It has become a family favorite of ours now.

These are awesome….Andrea, Stevie was soooo jealous that he couldn’t find a great recipe for chocolate chip cookies. He has literally been searching…forever!! He’s grateful LOL!!

I’m looking forward to trying these but have one quick question. What size box of pudding mix do you use?
Thanks!
