Well at 28 weeks baby is around 15 inches long… and chunking up :) – I love the idea of baby soaking up my weight gain.
This last week was harder then previous weeks…
I experienced A LOT of cramping and many contractions… in fact on friday night this week, from 1:30am-4am I contracted every 5-8 min. I thought for sure I was going to have to go into the Labor & Delivery at the hospital that night to get monitored… but held off. This same thing happened with Owen @ 29 weeks and I ended up having to spend 2 days in the hospital… I was just trying to avoid having to be hospitalized but knew if it continued I would have to go in, just to be safe.
Thankfully the contractions stopped that night… and since then I have not had a spell like that…
However, walking or being on my feet to long results in cramps and pressure [thats never cool]. All of this may just be because its my 4th baby…. who knows – but tomorrow AM I do go to the Dr. and they will check my cervix to make sure these contractions aren’t doing anything. I should know more after that appointment.
For now, I am learning to just take it easy… although that is so hard with 3 boys under the age of 7…
Over all I am thankful that so far baby is fine… in the end they are worth all the cramps… discomforts and hours lost of sleep :) – Baby is VERY active… kicks and moves around more than my other 3 did… especially at night.
Other news…
hmmm..
Well I think I have decided to have a natural birth again this time, IF I don’t have to be induced. Although sometimes inductions go well, but if it doesnt go well, I am not against getting an epidural. With baby having a 2 vessel cord I have been told that they will not let me go late… so if I do not go into labor on my own, they will have to induce me… and in most cases Id refuse the induction, but in this situation, its for the safety of the baby.
My hope is that baby comes around week 37 :)
& also… baby still remains without a name.

It is possible to have a natural birth after being induced. :) Hope that all these contractions you are having now help prepare your body for a fast and easy labor!

So glad you’re going to go natural again! But if not, I won’t judge, I promise. I am sure it’s tough having three and pregnant. I don’t look forward to the hard days…but seeing you pregnant does make me excited to be pregnant again!

You look great. Hopefully you get a blast of cooler weather for the next few weeks so you can really enjoy the third trimester. :)
