With the short bloggy break, I decided not to do my window silhouette belly shot today. I just don’t feel like it :) – but I assure you, I am bigger.
According to baby center baby is around 3 1/2 pounds right now and they say equal to about the size of 4 large naval oranges.
Baby is super active… by far my most active… or maybe I just feel more since this is my 4th. Either way, baby moves constantly.
I had maternity portraits taken on Saturday, so Im counting these photos as my week 31 pictures. I could not have asked for a better day for pictures too… the temps were around mid to upper 70′s… which for Georgia in August, this is rare!!
Big thank you to Coleen, a friend and fellow photographer who goes to our church. Shes been a blessing to me. She did great and I look forward to sharing my favorites some time next week.
I have been sleeping pretty good this week. Although I am very tired most days. I really believe the border line anemia issue my Dr. mentioned a week or so ago is causing my fatigue. That and the task of caring for 3 boys. Most afternoons I spend my time napping… I am just so thankful my children can stay occupied during this time.
That is really all the updates.
Besides getting bigger. There really are no changes. Oh my weight gain as of last week was 18 pounds. I can’t recall if I blogged that. I am gaining a steady pound per week right now. So I will probably float around 25-30 pound weight gain by the end of the pregnancy… which seems to be my norm.
I am at the point where I feel if baby does come, it will be ok. Obviously being born this early would not be my first choice… but there comes peace at mind knowing that if he were to come now, he’d more than likely be totally fine. My goal is to make it to 36 weeks – after that, he is more than welcome to come! :)
Oh and lets talk hair real quick.
Can I just say I am TIRED of long hair. While I do enjoy having long hair, it is a lot of work to keep it up. I am in need of a trim. My ends feel totally split and dry… Yet even with a trim I know it will be a lot of work to keep up with.
If you don’t recall, by this point with Owen, I had very short hair.
Here is a flash back :)

(28 weeks w/ Owen – Photo above by Andie Lane)
I actually really liked that length on me… I felt like I could style it more? where as right now my hair ends up in a bun or pony tail thing :) – I think I will hang onto the hair until baby comes… but once he does come, I am tempted to donate it to locks of love or something like that… after all… I cannot imagine having to tend to LONG HAIR with a newborn plus 3 boys… it will never get fixed.
Or… should I just wait it out?… maybe once I loose the baby weight and regain some energy, I will enjoy it long?

I think your short hairdo is SUPER cute! :)

You look so cute! Loved reading your update and seeing some pictures! I love your long hair, but if you are anything like me and lose A TON of hair after baby comes, short might be the best. I loved that style on you!

Have you tried liquid clorophyll (sp?) for the anemia? My midwife suggested I drink it after M was born. It might help a little with your energy levels.

an iron supplement taken daily could help with your anemia, there’s this thing called ‘physiologic anemia of pregnancy’ where your body thinks it doesn’t have enough iron because your blood supply has increased so much and it gets kind of watered down in a way. if you do take it, be sure to take it with some vitamin c because that increases your body’s absorption of iron!

Haha, several of my friends and I have a pact. Friends don’t let friends chop their hair while pregnant! I say wait it out, we’ve all regretted cutting ours!

Iron deficiencies run in both sides of your family. :-[ Continue eating your leafy greens such as spinach and taking your iron supplement. You will be ready for a haircut once the baby arrives. Remember that you will have some hair loss so short hair will be better during this time and it will make it so much easier in every way.
