This Friday we decided to head out on a trip to the Isle of Palm in Charleston SC. Reed who is now 3, had yet to go to the beach… so we knew we would want to take him soon… and well, after days and days of rain. It was time. I looked up the forecast for that area and it said 79 Partly Sunny. I looked at the forecast for our area… rain. Clouds. So, off we went in search of sunshine and sandy shores.
The boys had a blast!! It took right at around 2 hours to get there. We got there just before noon and left around 4:30pm. So we spent pretty much all day there.
The boys played non-stop until about 2pm. At 2 we took a brief lunch break at a local pub (yup… a Pastor and his kids in a bar… haha.. but hey, it was 2pm, so nothing wild going on and they had great food and a beach side view).
I decided not to take my “real” camera on this trip… so all the photos below I took with my iphone… but they are worth sharing. I also took two short videos with my phone too. We actually plan to go back to the beach this coming weekend. We want to stay the night at a hotel… and enjoy the sights a bit more. Since its off season, the cost is minimal.
