My kids are gone this week at a day camp at our church…. so I actually had spare time to get some things done. One of those things was to finally take photos of our home school room remodel and master bedroom. Sorry it took so long!
I painted these over a month ago. Both of them are painted with the same color. Yet they look different. The color is called Agreeable Gray by Sherwin Williams. I have heard its a wonderful gray and will literally look slightly different in every room, depending on the color furniture and light you get in that room. Pretty cool.
I love clean and open feels to a room.
My parents recently gifted us with a brand new bed room suite (well new to us, it was their old set). Prior to this set we had a mismatch of furniture we collected over the years for free (no shame!)…. and well, it worked. To have a set that actually matches and is nice, is so new to us. I must say, I love how it looks, even though my first initial thoughts was that the furniture was to dark. To me it goes very well with the room though and colors.
THE ONLY THING LEFT to do is the paint my desk. I got that desk for $20 from a friend (love it – has a ton of storage). It has fun vintage desk feet, but I don’t like the color that much. So I want to paint it white and distress it. That hasn’t happened yet but one day.
I also repainted the big mirror in the room. Prior it was dark brown and was connected to an old dresser we had for years. I much prefer it white and hanging on a wall vs. connected to a oversized dresser.
I don’t have many befores of the room, since I never photographed it prior… the only photos I have are showing the bed we use to have, because I took pictures of it for a blog post about Casper. (You can read about Casper here btw, literally the best mattress EVER!!!)
So here goes…
*I did really love my door head board, but our bed had no real frame.
I have really enjoyed having a foot board.*
