Well, shes still here

IMG_0032To those who may have been curious what happened to our Cat…

She is still here…

I stuck her outdoors when Owen was a newborn. I couldnt take her any more inside.
She kept going into the nursery and refused to leave it… she had become a real pest.

So we threw her out….

At 1st I felt bad… because she was declawed… but after a few weeks we saw a HUGE difference in Dinah.

I totally believe cats can be humbled… and she was!!

When she was indoors she refused to let anyone touch her. She hid away in the nursery closet or under the guest bed…
She never came out when guest would visit.
She was skittish and just very odd….

Now that she is outside she lets almost anyone touch her.
Shes out constantly wanting attention.
Shes really a different cat!

Dinah has a safe spot under our deck to get away from dogs…
She also can hide under our house in the crawlspace… we have a small opening for her to get in if need be.

I do still have Dinah on an adoption list… Ive had a few people call but no bites yet.
I would prefer someone adopt her and give her a good quiet home indoors… in a home with no small children (I think her skittishness stemmed from our boys being a tad heavy handed with her).

Until shes adopted though she will continue to stay outside..
Where honestly, I think shes happier.

One of her favorite things to do lately is sit and watch the humming birds. :-)

I got tired of the hair

So… Do you think I did it?

Shes still alive!

As some of you may already know… we threw our cat Dinah out of the house…
Before you leave hater comments, just know im not totally heartless. If I had been I would of driven her miles from our home and tossed her in the woods. With a newborn I was just having a lot of trouble handling the whole “cat” deal… and with our home being rather small… dinah constantly invading Owens room (she would never leave it!!), I just couldnt take it any more and one day tossed her outside our back door…

I did however leave her fresh food and water… and we have a back deck she can hide under as well as a crawlspace we left open under the house for her to seek shelter.

I will be honest when we 1st threw her out we did not see her for a solid week. I thought she died!! or ran off some place…

We kept noticing food was gone though and figured it was her…

Until this guy showed up:

One morning my boys were outside and Caleb yelled “MOMMY LOOK AT THIS CAT!”

and was outside petting this strange cat as the cat chowed down on the food I had been leaving out for Dinah.

I thought right then that Dinah was dead… & he had been the one eating the food…

but sure enough a few nights later Dinah came out from hiding!

Some say a cat cannot be humbled. I totally disagree. SHE HAS BEEN HUMBLED and has been the best cat since putting her out. When we had her indoors she was super shy… never came out… real skittish… I dont blame her, she was after all having to share a house with two heavy handed boys!

Now when we see her outside she meows for us to give her attention, she gives us hugs & cuddles. Shes like a different cat.

Will I bring her back in? mmmm not for long periods, no.
She is out there to stay until we find her a home.

Dinah is de-clawed and fixed… so I do feel a little nervous for her to be outside without claws… but I do think she will be ok for now … and I do know that she isnt totally defenseless, shes got some great sharp teeth lol and her back claws although harder to use, arent totally useless.

I know ive said it time and time again… but seriously… if you are interested in adopting Dinah please let me know! I really think she would do best in a home without a 3 or 5 yr old little boy HAHA… but ultimately I just want her in a loving home where people can enjoy her.

Shes 2 yrs old.
Fixed, declawed (as stated above)
has all her shots as well.
Oh and super good with litter boxes! (any type of litter)

I dont have any recent pictures of her, so heres one I took earlier this year:

Dinah recovering

Yes, we still have her

IMG_3738Yes… we do still have a cat…

Dinah….

I cant say that we LOVE her :)
After having to go through surgery for cat scratch… and her having annoying habits… like running around with no brain lol… knocking stuff over, playing with her water dish almost daily (spilling water….), etc..etc… she really hasnt been the most pleasant addition to our home.

But we cant seem to get rid of her LOL… so we are learning to “like” her.

Shes not a bad cat…
Shes actually pretty good as far as, shes quiet… shes not hateful (wont bite our kids or anything), shes well litter trained… and she isnt picky with her food (she gets straight dry cat food)… but shes still kind of a pain.

Shes not the prettiest cat either. Bless her :)

I tell you though… shes finally starting to calm down SOME (shes a year 1/2 now)… and I have found that KITTY TREATS every night seem to sweeten her a bit.. and shes more affectionate.

Dinah is here for one more Christmas… but I still think she’d love a good home with someone who has no kids :)

Up for Adoption

Dinah relaxing, what a life.Long story short.
I’m pregnant.
I’m tired…
I’m sensitive to smells…
I have enough to do… I really just want to find her a good home.

Shes very social. Once she gets use to you. She enjoys our children… forever follows them. In fact many days will watch them play for as long as an hour. Very interesting cat :) Also she is very quiet… rarely wakes us up in the morning… I very seldom hear her meow.

She eats dry food. Occasionally enjoys some moist mixed in… but I honestly only give her that maybe once a week… if that.

Uses Feline Pine Litter (all natural, no weird chemicals! flush-able)…

I will include her rabies shot tag, collar, feeding dishes (she has 4) as well as two larger ones for when we go out of town (self feeding ones) and of course her litter box included.

PRICE: FREEEEEE
Just enjoy her! I want her to have a good home.
She is fixed as well as declawed in the front.
Also has all her shots.

If you are interested and live near me please comment with your email address or number so I can get in touch with you.
