To those who may have been curious what happened to our Cat…
She is still here…
I stuck her outdoors when Owen was a newborn. I couldnt take her any more inside.
She kept going into the nursery and refused to leave it… she had become a real pest.
So we threw her out….
At 1st I felt bad… because she was declawed… but after a few weeks we saw a HUGE difference in Dinah.
I totally believe cats can be humbled… and she was!!
When she was indoors she refused to let anyone touch her. She hid away in the nursery closet or under the guest bed…
She never came out when guest would visit.
She was skittish and just very odd….
Now that she is outside she lets almost anyone touch her.
Shes out constantly wanting attention.
Shes really a different cat!
Dinah has a safe spot under our deck to get away from dogs…
She also can hide under our house in the crawlspace… we have a small opening for her to get in if need be.
I do still have Dinah on an adoption list… Ive had a few people call but no bites yet.
I would prefer someone adopt her and give her a good quiet home indoors… in a home with no small children (I think her skittishness stemmed from our boys being a tad heavy handed with her).
Until shes adopted though she will continue to stay outside..
Where honestly, I think shes happier.
One of her favorite things to do lately is sit and watch the humming birds. :-)
