I got a google talk msg this morning while online trying to organize Calebs birthday party…
It was my dear friend Kate.
She randomly said in our conversation:
“Ok, so Jon and I were watching Sprout with the kids the other night, and he goes…
“since when did Drea start being Nina on the Goodnight show?”
I found humor in it :) – and it perked my spirits.
I can see resemblances!

I’ve had a crampy last 24 hrs – oh the joys of a cycle!! I spent probably 5 hrs just laying in bed yesterday because of it. Not sure what happened after the birth of Owen – but each month its a doozie (sometimes twice a month, its so irregular too, which just adds to the joyful spontaneous episodes of it all)… It got so bad yesterday that while out I was laying on our van floor curled up in a ball… just praying we made it home in time to get a pain killer.
We had to order our home school curriculum and I seriously was unable to walk for more than a few minutes, let alone read through home school books with 3 kids running around. My poor husband had to do everything on his own… which means we are using Abeka 100% again this year – which is fine. We wanted to switch it up some – but with the move and all, we just haven’t had proper time to research it. Add yesterdays episode of intolerable pain, it was just a given we needed to keep things simple.
Hoping the next 24 hrs will bring some relief… as I juggle a lot of last minute task.
Oh, and just a reminder – our internet cuts off this afternoon! – more info on that will go up tomorrow.
I posted about this not to long ago… but my dear friend Casey is in the process of adopting 2 sweet babies from the Congo! Their names are Ezra & Evie.
She has lots more about these sweeties on her blog… but I wanted to post real quick bout a Best of Photography Gift Basket she is giving away. FULL OF AMAZING goodies.
Heres an idea of what it includes:
All the proceeds she raises goes straight toward paying for this adoption process.
So check out her post about this Photography Basket – and see how your small donation can not only make a huge impact, but possibly get you a basket worth 100′s.
The gift you give will be such a blessing to their family, so even if you didn’t win – its worth doing any way.
I am remaining busy doing some photo gigs before we move.
Today – I did this one…
I just wish I had more of me so I could do portraits of all my friends families before I moved.
Theres always room for visits to Georgia tho! ;-)
Yard sale day is in just 1 more day… so ill be busy tomorrow packing more boxes, organizing things/prices for the sale… all the while tending to these kiddos.
So my blog may lack this weekend. We also have to make a trip after the yard-sale to visit my father in law.
Have I mentioned I turn 28 on saturday. I FEEL OLD this week. But I do know 28 is still young. I mean really, some people are just finishing up their PhD at this point ;-) right?
Have I mentioned Taite never stops talking. SERIOUSLY, NEVER. Our visit with some sweet friends was full of constant jabber from the Burger. That lil guy always has something to tell. I guess I should be thankful, he doesn’t have any trouble entertaining people.
He is one CUTE NON-STOP TALKING BLONDE BLUE-EYED TAN CHILD. I love him, but a mute button would be helpful, some days… ;-)
Off to watch Soul-Surfer (yes I’m making time for a movie! I need to wind down), anyone see it?
Tonight I went out with a few friends, just to eat dinner – and then run by Toy’s R’ Us to buy Caleb a birthday present… The original plan was for just us 3 to go out… but my husband pleaded asked nicely for me to take the baby. So I did.
It of course cut my night out short, but I still had a great time.
I cherish the moments I can spend with friends here and now before we move 8 hours away… they are special memories. Despite bread sticks flying across Olive Garden, a runaway baby in target and getting lost on the way home w/ a baby refusing to sleep. :)
I will miss Shannon, Laurie and so many others dearly!
Laurie snagged a few iphone photos of Owen and I.
He is nice company even if it involves more work :)
