I must admit…
I have a problem :)
Travis makes fun of me all the time when I do this… but I LOVE to rearrange furniture!! I dont know what is wrong with me. But I find that moving furniture is a great outlet for me.. helps me to create something different… and it also helps me to clean the room well. With hardwood floors in our ENTIRE HOME (except 1 room, and the tile bathrooms)… dust manages to find its way under everything.. and well… unless you MOVE the furniture it will just keep building up under those things.
Any how.. For some time now I have wanted to arrange the boys room in such a way that they could MAKE their beds. With the way we currently had things they only had access to ONE side of their bed. For Caleb (the only one who makes his bed right now, Taite doesnt get it…)… he has a hard time making it because of this.
Also when I wash their sheets and have to put them BACK on… its very difficult for me.. and I just saw in a few months with a big belly my attempting to lean over beds and stuff sheets down cracks near a wall… was not going to happen.
SO I moved furniture this morning while Caleb was in school and Taite was out with Travis.
When should I not do this?
I know at some point in pregnancy you should not LIFT anything heavy… I dont feel to pregnant yet… and didnt see the harm in dragging furniture. With hardwoods its actually very easy to move things… they just slide. So I didnt really LIFT things up… just pulled and pushed.
I feel fine right now. If anything is hurting its my lower back… but thats totally normal for me. Also im hungry but its almost lunch time.. so I dont think im extra hungry because of my furniture sliding :)
Ok onto the room.
I moved things.. and although I think there is LESS SPACE for the boys to sit and play.. the beds will be easier to make. Also I like that BOTH the boys dressers are side by side… where as before they were across the room from each other. Now when I put clothes away ill be right beside both and it should save me some time.
The boys beds are A LOT closer to each other now… this MAY pose a problem when they go to bed at night.. since they can prob lean over and make faces at each other or touch each other hands, etc… we may have a few extra giggles… but I think over all it should be fine. If anything them sleeping closer may help them sleep better?? if that makes any sense.
I hope this works out. I would love to make the beds BUNKS (they are bunk beds)… but I still think with Taite being 2 that it may cause safety issues if he decided to climb up one night and slipped. So for now two twins will do.
And if this baby is a boy… I MIGHT end up putting all 3 boys in one room (after the baby sleeps through the night) and turn the 3rd bedroom (currently my studio) into a play room/studio.
So no toys in the boys room.
But if this babies a girl obviously she will take over my studio :)
Which I wouldnt mind, teehee.

*Note: To those wondering what the colored shape things are on the dresser drawers… they are labels. I wanted to teach Caleb where his own clothes were and Taites.. so that in the morning he could easily find his clothing and dress himself.. Also when I needed him to put away something of Taites he could do it, etc..etc.. Taites dresser is the taller or the two (the drawers I find are harder to open so I thought it be better to keep Taite out right now haha).*
