Leaves

I don’t know about anyone else…

But I love fall!

Despite fall allergies… ::sigh::
and the time changes that are soon to come…

I just love how crisp the air feels…
and the beautiful colors.

Caleb btw was avoiding the camera ;-) – he’d rather jump lay on the trampoline.

Boy Push

IMG_1347

Now who did you look at 1st? Owen in all his cuteness coming towards me.. or the two boys pushing each other in the background? :) all I can say is I am thankful that most of those pushes result in laughter.

A typical day of School

I thought I would photograph during a typical morning schooling the boys.
The photos may sum it up ;-)

So as you can tell.

Taite and Owen do a lot of playing…

while Caleb gets the bulk of the work.

That is just how it is right now.

Taite is still only 4… and we do work on phonics, math and writing with him. He also does Bible with Caleb… so he is doing a lot for his age… but honestly, he makes an even better baby sitter for me right now :) – because Owen INTERRUPTS A LOT. He refuses morning naps most days now, so its just a battle to entertain him, while working with Caleb, who has lots to do daily.

The beauty of home schooling is you do have time throughout the day to space things out.

So if the day is interrupted by hungry stomachs, a fussy baby, or just a mom wanting to slack clean or cook… it is ok :) – it gets done, and Caleb is doing great!

We have had our moments, but know that home schooling our boys is one of the best decisions we ever made.

Walk Owen

Walk Owen…

Something I am sure everyone is tired of hearing me say :)

But this is why I continue to do it…

One day he will learn.
I HOPE :)

Amoxicillin Rash, who knew…

As some of you may have seen on facebook… Owen woke up with a weird looking rash on his face and parts of his body. I immediately thought he had German Measles… but due to him not having any fever or other symptoms of it, we just weren’t sure. So I decided to take him to see our Pediatrician.

Turns out Owen had an allergic reaction to Amoxicillin. He was on it due to his ear infection he got 8 days ago… and this was the result…

Yes Owen is eating a nugget. For those curious what that was ;-)

*the scab was from a fall, not the rash*

IMG_0618

From what the Dr. told me, the rash will get worse before it gets better :-(
I looked up photos of it and if it gets to the point of some of these rashes online, we are in for an interesting few days.. or possible 2 weeks. She said it can take as long as 14 days to clear up.

The good thing is, its not serious, since besides his skin, he has no other symptoms.

Im not sure what this means for future use of any antibiotics. We shall see…

I am just so thankful that up until recently Owen has dodge any serious illness… and hasn’t had to use much medicine.. Im praying this continues.

Owen btw, looks much worse than he feels :)

So far he hasnt shown any signs of discomfort, thankfully!

Below btw is a photo taken YESTERDAY – Just shows how fast these bumps came through. One day fine, next day, BAM! Totally normal according to this website…
