On the road again :)

Soooo we’re on the road again.
Totally last minute trip (although we had it in mind – just not so soon) – Since Travis will start working May 14th – we knew this would be our last opt. to travel this year… once summer comes and he is in full swing with training – I just don’t think leaving will be an option for some time. Not to mention with the birth of the baby this fall… leaving after that doesnt really sound appealing either – since ill be tending to a newborn and 3 other kids. People can come see us then ;-)

So we are off to visit family and friends for the next 10 days or so.

We have lots of stops to make and a busy schedule… heres hoping we can do it and stay sane :) – relaxed and just enjoy the time away. So far things are well… the trip went well. As well as it can with 3 boys asking “are we there yet” 15x every 30 minutes hah… well at least 1 of those boys was.

If im scarce from the blog through the weekend its due to no internet signal at Travis’ dads. I hope to post an update by monday though :) – enjoy the weekend!

Sums me Up

This sums me up pretty good right now.

Minus dry boogers on my upper lip ;-) – Poor Owen cant shake that runny nose lately.

Today was very busy… but it went well.
Although it was oddly chilly out!! We all had light jackets on and still felt cold (At least I did). Yet by 5pm or so, it was really hot.

Here are a few photos of the kids in Atlanta today.
We used this new CART I got to showcase on She {hearts} It instead of a stroller. I had to carry a bunch of BOBA boxes with me to the session… and this just made sense :) – I was able to carry all the boxes, plus Owen. Although when I went to the aquarium with this big thing I did feel a bit out of place. I look forward to sharing more about the cart though later… and possibly be able to give one away ;-) – that cart can hold 100′s of pounds, its amazingly strong.

Off to crash… here are the “few” photos I can share :) – the Boba ones will have to wait.

Who is that hooded fellow on the bench?

We joked he looked a little bit like Yoda.

We did splurge on lunch… since I didn’t have time to pack it this trip.
It was a neat little diner by the aquarium. Even had a juke box for you to use :)

Can you see the tired in my eyes?
I have a few more photos of Caleb in Centennial Park near a gigantic statue… but im to tired to download any more :) Off to get the kids in bed and hopefully rest some before heading out tomorrow for one last Boba session.

If im away for a few days its because we are busy with family. So until then, have a great weekend everyone.

Over Capacity

I think we broke a few rules with this :-\

Thats our boys (as you can see I did not allow Owen on) – and our neighbors boy, plus his friends.
It was a very full trampoline!! To my surprise no one got hurt during this particular jumping time :) – but its not uncommon for our boys to ram into each other wrong or play rough. They are boys though and sure do have fun on that thing! Even little Owen (when there are many less bodies on it) – The trampoline btw isn’t broke at the top – the net still works well, we however have a pipe that keeps coming loose – so instead of fixing it every few days we’ve just let it be. One day, we will properly connect it again :)

Oh & in case you didn’t notice :) – I tweaked the blog a bit again. The yellow as bothering me! Plus I missed seeing those cute faces at the top… so, I put them back ;-)

Figured it Out

Owen figured this out the other day.

It was so cute

Although after he got going fairly well…

IMG_1874

I think he got a bit nervous.

So for him, one or two times down was plenty :) – and he has yet to do it again since.
So I am glad I grabbed the camera when I did ;-)

Work and School

Between church meetings, impromptu birth sessions, new work for Boba, family portrait sessions on the weekend and a newborn session next week. The next week 1/2 or so will be packed full and busy. My parents will also be coming next weekend. So in between the working I hope to find time to deep clean the house before they come.

We’ve also been schooling or should I say, Travis has been schooling :) – and as the school year draws to an end soon, we are in search of new curriculum for next year. In fact we may end up schooling through the summer!

So I’m curious home school families.

What Curriculum are you using next year? and why?

I am the type of mom who likes things “organized” for me… I am not gifted in the area of organizing a school day, as far as doing lesson plans and figuring out on my own what they need to learn. I need that done for me. Which is why we picked Abeka from the start, because it does that. It has things from beginning to end completely planned out. However we have had a few bumps with Abeka and we’re interested in doing something more hands on and not so “seat workish” all the time.

Would love to hear what others are using and what made them decide on that. Pros and Cons, etc. Feel free to leave lengthy comments. I am sure other moms would love to read it too!

Off to shower and prepare for the day. Im excited about this afternoons portrait session. Im dragging a family through the woods to a creek :) – among bikers hehe. I am hoping the hike back is uneventful. Im sure it will be worth the walking.
