Look

I just found this picture cute :)

That is an old piece to part of a playground the boys found. I’m not sure either one could see a thing through it… but it was just funny how they interacted with this big piece of plastic.

Allows no Touching :)

IMG_0931I spend a TON of time in our kitchen. It actually is the room that our lives really revolve around. We are there, morning, afternoon and evening. From the time we wake up to the time we go to bed.

I cook our three meals there, serve snacks there, bake up goods, pour drinks, organize and often times we use it as a place to do crafts and other messier activities with our boys. We also entertain in it from time to time.

It should be a room that is well used, maybe not always 100% tidy :) – but at least clean…

With little hands touching things constantly and my hands being in the food we eat as I prepare it… I try to keep it free from bacteria and germs as best I can.

Lysol recently came out with a No Touch Kitchen System. It allows you to not only clean dishes with but also hands and surfaces, without even touching it. I love how I never have to tip a bottle any more. It really is handy. It gave the perfect amount of soap as well. I tend to be an over squeezer when using normal soap bottles… which can go through soap rather fast.

Lysol had anUndercover Challenge they asked us to do. It was actually kind of fun :) – we had to follow a mom, dad or child around a kitchen – and remember what all they touched. We really do touch a lot. I passed the challenge with flying colors ;-) – and found all 8 places the mom touched.

For a chance to win a No Touch Kitchen System with a year supply of soap complete these two steps:

  • Share theUndercover Challenge with your friends below
  • Tell us that you did AND tell us your kitchen cleaning challenge below

Just Handsome

IMG_2026Taite is such a funny little boy.

I don’t tend to write blog post just talking about their personalities… but I thought I would tonight.

Taite is now 5… and such a ham. I think he really does realize he has a charm about him… with that tan skin, blue eyes and blonde hair. He draws attention without even saying anything… but really, when he does speak, you can’t help but look at him. He is so far from shy… and will talk to almost anyone.

He is just a funny kid.

He says some of the weirdest stuff…
Half the time we really don’t follow what he is trying to say, but when we do get it :) – you can’t help but smile.

IMG_2036

The other day we were driving home from the store – and started talking about “future work” – Taite then said “I don’t ever want to work” – we then told him he needed to work, so he could provide for his family, etc..etc… He then said Can’t I just do what Daddy does? :) – and in case you don’t get that, and don’t follow our blog… Travis currently is unemployed and has been since Aug 2011… so you can imagine, our boys think Daddy’s new job is just to be at home with them like Mommy does. Obviously that wont work long term ;-) – but it was just funny how Taite brought that up.

The time that Travis is able to spend with our boys right now – is precious. It will be a time we will never ever get back. So even though money is tight… and our future is totally up in the air. I wouldn’t trade it.

Now… onto Taite some more :)

He is extremely athletic.

We haven’t enrolled him into any sports, really because we can’t afford too – but life seems busy enough as is… we just don’t want to clutter our schedules right now with to much. He is however enrolled in a small local track club – that meets once a week. He does so well with it. Last week he actually beat the entire class in a race (bare foot!). I was surprised since he is one of the youngest! Some of the kids in the class are as old as 8.

He just has incredible balance and stamina.

Taite is a funny eater :) – still.

He wont eat sandwiches – but he now will eat them in pieces. So he will eat the bread by itself then the meat. He will not eat cheese by itself. He also wont eat cereal with milk. He hates butter, despises macaroni and cheese (Caleb says he isnt human because of this) – and when it comes to hot dogs and hamburgers be prefers no bread either.

Yet he will grab 3-5 large carrots from the fridge, unpeeled and scarf those down like they are candy.

We love his dimples and his expressive ways. Can you tell our boys will probably have to start shaving at age 12? ;-) – I have a feeling we will go through some razors in this house!

He is by far the most affectionate kid in the house. Although Owen is still in that “I need Mommy” phase- but Taite is the type that if I want a kiss or a hug, he is always eager to give it. He loves to have me scratch his back… or even just rub the side of his arm. He hugs his brothers without hesitation too. I sometimes wonder if he is like this because I wore him non stop as a baby – age 2… but really, his daddy is super affectionate – so I am sure its a combination of many things. You never get tired of Taite’s hugs :)

He definitely can hold his own too ;-) – and I must say for 5 years old, that kid isn’t scared of being “the little guy” in the crowd.

Those were

Just in case you missed it… the photo earlier today was in fact MY BED SHEETS!

They are Egyptian cotton… awesome amazing and the best… I love them. Sadly my feet are like crazy razor blades or something – because those holes are on MY side. We laugh about it.. but they are getting really big and sometimes at night my feet go into the holes. GROSS.

So I am in the market for new sheets ;-)

In other news…

The boys have been sleeping on the floor.

They make no sense… but hey, no reason to make beds in this case :)

IMG_1947

Owen went in after his nap and said “night night?!” – then proceeded to check things out

IMG_1949

They disregarded him ;-)

Do you have any favorite sheets?

Odd

Any guesses what this is? and why it is the way it is? :)
