Yesterday I started the process of packing up a few things in boxes. Travis went to the local store on Monday and got a TON of boxes for free.
I had to baby sit two babies the same age yesterday. Caleb and my friend Jodi’s little girl Lily. They were such a joy though. Caleb was a bit tempermental at first… just because he was being invaded by this cute little girl wanting all his toys :-) but after an hour and a nap he was all for having Lily around. They played really well together. So while they were playing in Calebs bedroom I decided to pack up some of our books and movies in the living room… plus all the decorative pictures on the wall…

While lifting one of the boxes though I think I hurt my back again. When we moved from Seminary housing to our first rental home I did the same thing *of course during that move I was also 8 months pregnant*… my back was sore for a long time though. Right now it feels really tight towards the lower part of the spine. When I bend over to pick up something I have this real sharp pain… and if I lean over to change Caleb it hurts. Hopefully it wont take to long to heal up… for now though I will take it easy…
I think this weekend we will see if the new land lord will let us carry some of our many boxes over to the house. Travis will get the help from some of our students since I wont be able to lift much. For now though I am going bonkers looking at all these boxes. I cant stand having a house out of order. But I suppose I will make it!
I uploaded a few pictures of Caleb & Lily. I took these yesterday. Caleb has a crush on Lily I think… to young!!!

~ Lily * Just to assure all visitors who have never seen Lily. Lily doesnt have a boo boo on her head. Someone asked me that yesterday while walking her around.. they thought she hurt her head some how. Its just a birth mark called a “Hymangioma” (spelling might be wrong). They go away after a few years. Caleb had one when he was really tiny on his leg. By a year old his was pretty much gone though. *

I am writing this post a day early… just because I have a feeling I wont have time to write it tomorrow morning. I have to baby sit for my friend Jodi from 8am-5pm.. so I’d rather post this now than after 5pm tomorrow :-)
I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentines Day. If your married you men best do something romantic for your beautiful wife :-)
I still remember my first Valentines w/ Travis… we were dating and living 3 hours apart… Valentines rolled around and I was very sick with the flu. I was planning on visiting him that week… but because of the flu I couldnt. I was so sad. To my surprise… Travis came to see me! and yes… it was a huge surprise! Here I was sick… fever-ish… with no make up on… and bed head… and here comes this man who Ive only been dating for about 7 months to see me… with flowers in one hand and a teddy bear in the other. I felt so gross haha… and unattractive… but he made me feel like the most special woman in the world.
Happy Valentines Love! :-)
This year I have two Valentines hehe. Travis and my beautiful son Caleb.
Below are a few pictures from the day… I had my picture secretly done this morning at “The Picture People” for Travis. It came out so good. Travis had no idea.
And a special Thank you to Jodi for doing my hair and Donna for helping me plan this event :-)
Happy Valentines Day everyone!

Today we just lounged around the house. Travis went to a few youth events… I was hoping to go… but sometimes w/ a baby you just cant. So maybe next time.
Update on the house situation. We talk to our current landlord and she gave the “okay” for us to move. She is real sad to see us go… but she completely understands. We will move out the last of Feb. and be in our new house first of March. I hope the new landlord lets us have a key early… that way we can move in things slowly… rather than all in one day. I’m sure he will… he seems very laid back.
The above picture was taken tonight. Caleb showing his mama some love. He is so cute when he give kisses. Shuts his eyes and everything. He is starting to do this a lot when he sees little girls at church ;-\… going to have to nip that in the bud! lol.
Below are a few links to other pictures taken today… ENJOY!
*Excuse the mess in our house. Caleb at night time tends to drag clothes out… toys… shoes….drinks…everything he wants to mess with into the living room. I just let it be til he goes to bed… then clean it. ;-) Trust me we arent slobs. I keep a very tidy home.*

energetic!

This morning I decided to workout playing DDRMax. Ive mentioned this game before… its a game that uses a cool dance pad instead of controllers. Its an awesome way to work out! It has a workout mode… that counts your calories based on the number of beats of the song… and the types of movements made while dancing to the song. Its awesome.
This one song shown above is called “Break Down..” It is one of the fastest songs on the game. It is 190 beats. Most songs on this game range from 120-150 beats. I decided to video tape myself dancing to this song though. To show my brother (who has never seen me DDR) how quick his lil’ sis can move to this game haha. I know the quality in this video isnt good… and its hard to see how many “perfects” I hit on the song… but if you look very closely (blow up the video)… on the screen you can see a number in the middle thats pink-ish. That number shows how many combos you hit in a row. Combos can only be accumulated if you hit a “perfect” or “great” with each passing arrow. If you miss just one arrow the combo goes away. I got up to a 150 some combo while taping this! I was pumped to see that. For me to get that while playing STANDARD on a 190 beat song is really good lol. My best grade on this song is an “A” the highest score you can get is a “AAA.” To get that you have to get like all “perfects!”
The video is located at my dropshot page: CLICK HERE
This link will direct you to the exact video. If you go through my side toolbar though the video will be at the bottom. When I uploaded it… for some reason it put it under “Jan.” videos… instead of “Feb.”
Caleb gets into the camera at the very end ;-) its cute though.

flirty

Okay let me start off with the small snibbit… haha. I started posting this blog entry to post a video I took today of Caleb. (The video is above… and its of him signing “Drink More Please!”) As I was typing things out my husband gets home from the post office. He comes into my room and says “This card was on my desk at church for you.” and handed it to me. I had no idea who it was from… but it wouldnt be unusual to get a card from just a lady or student at church. Well… I open it up and this is what the front says “It’s a Brand New Day!”
When I saw that I thought… “hmm… maybe this is an encouragement letter from someone…” haha…
Inside it reads
“Good things are coming -
It won’t be long
The winds of change
Blow true and strong…
So when its rough along the way
Remember,
Tomorrow
Brings
A
Brand
New
Day!
“Sorry for such a cheap Valentines Card, but we have to start watching our spending! :-)
Love, Me ” *beside the smiley face was a tiny drawn picture of a house*
After reading that I was confused at first… haha… I was thinking… what in the world?
Then I remembered Travis telling me he was going to call the guy who is renting out this house that we looked at down the road. Its a beautiful home… I’ll take pictures of it as soon as I can..
Any how. Travis had and I have been wrestling with this idea of moving… just because the cost of the house would be more than the apartment we live in… thats pretty obvious tho… and not a surprise.
Travis has been looking at our budget… and trying to figure out where the extra money will come from… and he said its tight… but we can do it. We have been praying and praying… and Travis prayed this morning as confirmation from the Lord that if this was meant to be that this man who is renting the house out… would be willing to lower the price of the house rent down almost 50 more dollars a month.
This afternoon they chatted… and he said “50 dollars wont make or break me… I want you two to live in the house.” *He called us very good peoples hehe.*
I am really excited! lol.
Time to go flirt with my hubby. What a nice valentine gift! haha.
